It’s been such an incredible year as a Dallas family photographer. I’ve had the joy of meeting so many new families, capturing meaningful memories, and witnessing some truly special seasons of life. One of the most beautiful parts of this year has been seeing familiar faces again—little ones I’ve photographed before, now a bit taller, a bit older, and full of so much personality. Being invited back into your lives year after year, and trusted to preserve these fleeting moments, is something I’ll never take for granted. Each session, each family, and each story captured has made this year unforgettable.

There were so many different types of sessions this year—most filled with laughter, big smiles, and playful moments, and a few sprinkled with tears (thank you, sunrise sessions… and of course, our dearest Santa). Every session told its own story, and each one added to the beautiful collection of memories captured throughout 2025. I’m endlessly grateful to every family who trusted me to document these moments and allow me to be a small part of their story. It is a privilege I truly don’t take lightly.

I was honored to capture 271 family sessions this year—51 full sessions, 142 half sessions, and 78 mini sessions. Family photography sessions have become especially meaningful to me now that my own little ones are running around, growing faster than I’d like to admit. Being in this chapter of life myself has deepened the way I see and photograph families. I love capturing the highlights of a family’s love—the laughs, the still moments, the chaos, and everything in between. These are the moments that matter, the ones you’ll look back on years from now and feel just as much as you remember.

I was lucky enough to photograph 139 baby collections this year, including 85 precious newborns, 34 beautiful maternity sessions, and 20 milestone shoots. The beginning of this journey is often the quickest stage of all—one moment you’re dreaming of them, the next you’re holding them in your arms, and suddenly they’re already growing and changing. Getting to slow those moments down through photos—capturing the love before they arrive, the tenderness right after welcoming them into the world, and the joy of watching them grow—feels incredibly special. Being trusted to document these early chapters, and to be the one behind the camera preserving them, is truly a blessing and a gift I don’t take lightly.

In between photographing sessions, I’ve also poured a lot of time and heart into expanding my business through photography education. This year, I had the honor of mentoring 6 incredible photographers, hosting 4 workshops that I’m unbelievably proud of, and selling 330 editing and posing courses. Watching others grow, gain confidence, and step into their own creative voice has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this year. To be able to influence, encourage, and guide fellow photographers along their journey is something I feel incredibly grateful for.

This year was filled with so much growth—both behind the camera and beyond it. In total, I had the honor of photographing 410 sessions, each one telling its own story—from growing bellies to brand-new babies, and families chasing laughter and love together. Every session was a chance to preserve a season that passes far too quickly, and to capture moments that will be cherished for years to come. Along the way, I was also grateful for the opportunity to guide and encourage fellow photographers through mentorships and workshops, growing alongside such an incredible community. Being trusted to document these memories—and to support others behind the scenes—is something I’m endlessly grateful for and never take lightly.
