Okay, so, I might be exaggerating a little bit in the title for this blog—I don’t know if I can exhaustively list all the reasons you should book a Dallas maternity photography session with me. Let’s face it: there are a lot of things to consider when investing in a photography experience. 

So maybe I can’t list every single reason you’d want to choose me as your professional bump photographer. But I can show you this absolutely gorgeous maternity session I shot recently, and I think it just about sums it up: Maternity photos are so so worth it!

Everything about this session was a dream to photograph. White Rock Lake in Dallas was the perfect setting. Soft green grass, lush trees, and calm, reflective waters formed a romantic and airy background, especially as we took advantage of that golden hour lighting! When you book me as your DFW maternity photographer, I make it a priority to help you choose the best location. Often, I will scout out a location a week or two in advance to make sure it’s ripe for photos—you don’t want dead trees or mud patches in the background! I help you choose a location and a time of day that will perfectly capture the look you want to achieve. 

I’m also completely flexible in terms of setting. This outdoor location was tranquil, gorgeous, and fun for this Dallas-area couple: I think it perfectly captured this mom-to-be’s glow and gave us a setting for some intimate but playful poses! But I also adore indoor sessions at my downtown Dallas studio or even in your own home! It’s all about what you want out of your session, but I always add my expertise to ensure you have timeless photos to treasure forever.

Speaking of timeless photos, I do my best to make sure each and every photo in your gallery looks effortless and feels natural. As a momma of three, I know that while pregnancy is a beautiful time, you may not always feel beautiful through all of the changes going on in your body. I know a lot of moms who are hesitant to take maternity photos because they are afraid they won’t like how they look in them. While I guide my clients through simple poses, I also let their interactions take a natural course so that they never appear stiff or awkward. The photos of this DFW couple together are some of my favorites from this collection. The love this couple shares is tangible as he strokes her hair, as she caresses his cheek, as they hold each other in the dusky light. And while, yes, a maternity session is about the sweet baby on the way, it’s also about the love between Mom and Dad. Especially in a first pregnancy, maternity photos really give you one last chance for intimate couple photos before baby comes.
