It’s been a wonderfully full year for my Dallas lifestyle photography business and I couldn’t be more thankful for my amazing clients! Each one of you has brought such joy to my life as I’ve had the opportunity to capture beautiful moments between you and your loved ones.

As we move into the new year, I find myself reflecting on the ups and downs of 2023. We welcomed a sweet baby girl at the end of 2022 and watched her grow into a beautiful toddler this year. She brings so much joy to our whole family! The beginning of the year was a struggle as we adjusted to the sleepless nights of three children under age three. But thanks to some amazing sleep tips, everyone is sleeping peacefully these days. 

The rest of the year brought its share of happy celebrations, routine kid viruses, and changes for my business as I began to offer courses for other photographers and shooting film. 

As a newborn, maternity, and family photographer in DFW, my calendar was booked throughout the year as clients welcomed babies, celebrated milestones, and updated their at-home galleries. Below, I share the number of sessions I shot as well as some of their highlights.

Newborn : 133 sessions

By far my largest number of sessions were newborn photoshoots. I am so grateful that so many of you chose me to capture these precious first moments with your baby! The past few years have shown us something of a baby boom, and this year was no exception. I adore those squishy little baby snuggles and this year I was thrilled to shoot so many in-home newborn sessions. Every home was an opportunity to capture a gorgeous and unique nursery design!

Family : 102 Sessions

Watching families grow, capturing the moments you’ll cherish forever, helping you create meaningful holiday greeting cards—these are just a few of my favorite things about family photography sessions in Dallas. Whether they’re outdoor or indoor, portrait or petite, these sessions are an incredible blessing, as it gives me the opportunity to photograph families in all moments of life. This year, I was thrilled to curate a children’s client wardrobe to help little ones coordinate perfectly with the rest of the family.

Maternity : 54 Sessions 

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I love Dallas maternity photography! Honoring that unique and sacred experience of pregnancy—celebrating a mother’s love and strength—is a truly fulfilling part of my job. This year, I enjoyed shooting maternity sessions in a variety of settings. I’m always happy to help clients decide if an outdoor or an indoor session is best for them!

Milestone : 26 Sessions

Milestone sessions—photoshoots that capture those special moments in your child’s life—are so much fun, especially when a client has a Baby Year Membership with me. Not only is the membership an ideal package for my clients, it’s also very rewarding to me as I get to watch your little one grow and help you create a gorgeous gallery of your baby’s first year or beyond. This year, it was so special to shoot a few milestone sessions in client homes, as the relaxed setting was the perfect atmosphere for helping little ones smile.
